The OnePlus 6T China launch date, has been announced by the company on Weibo. The device will be unveiled at an event in Shenzen, on November 5th.
This is a bit surprising, considering that the OnePlus 6T global launch date, is October 30th. The company is hosting an event in New York and New Delhi, simultaneously.
You would think that OnePlus might want to do the same in China, after all that is its home turf.
We are not really sure why there is a different launch date for China, but we think that it may be due to the fact that OnePlus may want Carl Pei and Pete Lau at Shenzen’s stage, after they return from the New Delhi and New York launch events.
Or, it could be because the OnePlus 6T Chinese variant ROM, which will be powered by HydrogenOS, has different features than the global variant’s OxygenOS. We are merely speculating of course.
OnePlus is focusing on the in-display fingerprint scanner, as a selling point for the OnePlus 6T with a “Unlock the speed” tagline.
Here is the latest OnePlus 6T video teaser, which also focuses on the tagline.
But the lack of the headphone jack on the OnePlus 6T, which you can confirm yourself by looking at the design of the phone shown in the video, might well be the deciding factor for users, to buy or not to buy?
