The OnePlus 8T was announced exactly 1 week ago. But we already have a rumour that hints at the OnePlus 9 launch date.
The Chinese OEM reportedly plans to unveil the device in Q1 next year. Traditionally, the company has stuck to a Q2 schedule for its launches. This however means its flagship phones arrive slightly later than its competition, especially the Samsung Galaxy S and Xiaomi Mi series phones.
OnePlus 9 launch date
That appears to be the reason behind the apparent change next year. According to a report by Android Central, the OnePlus 9 launch date has been set for March 2021. To be precise, the device will be released in mid-March. Announcing the phone about 4 weeks earlier than usual, should help the company to drive more sales.
Rumours indicate that the OnePlus 9 will be powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 chipset. The processor is expected to be a 5nm chipset. It is likely that the phone will support 5G mobile networks, and 65W Fast Charging aka Warp Charge 65, IP68 Water Resistance among other features.
OnePlus will be releasing 2 new mid-range phones by the end of the year with the OnePlus Nord N10 5G and the OnePlus Nord N100. These devices will be headed to the US market, and it remains unclear whether they will be announced globally.
