The OnePlus 9RT is set to launch on October 13th in China. The word comes straight from the company, which has put up a teaser page, to promote the upcoming launch event.
It looks like the new device will be a significant upgrade over the OnePlus 9R that was announced in March 2021.
The teaser image shows a Grey coloured back panel, with a camera bump placed in the top left corner. The vertical array is home to triple cameras with large sensors. The branding next to the lenses reveals that the primary sensor is a 50MP camera that supports DOL-HDR (Digital OverLap High Dynamic Range).
While it doesn’t mention what the other two sensors are, they are likely an ultra-wide angle lens and a telephoto sensor. There are Dual LED Flash modules next to the main cameras.
The phone has been listed on JD.com, which reveals the design of the front panel. The OnePlus 9 RT 5G has a large flat display, with narrow bezels and a hole punch selfie camera in the top left corner of the screen. There is a USB Type-C port on the bottom along with a speaker grille, but there is no 3.5mm headphone jack. The right-hand side of the device’s frame features an alert slider and a power button, while the volume rocker keys are placed on the left side.
According to some leaks, the 9RT is said to be equipped with a Full HD+ display that supports 120Hz Refresh Rate, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G octa-core processor. The primary camera on the phone could be a Sony IMX 766 sensor just like on the main OnePlus 9 flagship device. The 9RT could be backed by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging.
