We have heard reports on Chinese social network Weibo, of OnePlus 3 stocks either running out or its shortage. Gizmochina reported that Gray version of Oneplus 3 is already out of stock and only the gold version is available right now. As per that report, OnePlus is planning to stop the production of the current flagship OnePlus 3 to make way for a new model, probably going to be called as the OnePlus 3S or something else, though they are not sure of the model name OnePlus 3S.
Now a new leak originating on Weibo indicates that a new device from OnePlus under the model number A3010 is already approved on the China 3C certification approval listing which means that the company only needs the TENAA approval before the public launch of the new smartphone. If you remember, the model number for Oneplus 3 is A3000 and hence the new model number of A3010 appears to be a small upgrade over the existing flagship device or if not upgrade, then a slight variation in specifications.
As per the report linked above, the new model OnePlus A3010 may be powered by newer and faster Snapdragon 821 and come with LCD panels instead of AMOLED one, as AMOLED supply shortage seems to be one of the big reasons why OnePlus 3 is unable to keep up the production in tune to the demand.
With a 3C certification, the company may announce the device soon though we got no ETA. As we say with any other leak, take this with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
