OnePlus has announced that its flagship killer, the OnePlus One, has its price cut by $50, permanently.
Before you ask, allow me to clarify that this offer is not available in India yet.
A week ago, OnePlus announced that it would be selling the One at $50 off of the price from June 1 – 7th. The company apparently saw an incredible number of sales, that it is making the price cut permanent.
OnePlus One prices before and after price cut:
OnePlus One 64GB Sandstone Black – previously $349 – now $299
OnePlus One 16GB Silk White – previously $299 – now $249
There could be two reasons for the price cut. Firstly, the device was launched over a year ago, so the production costs including the chipset and other parts may be cheaper. Secondly, it is possible that the OnePlus 2 is launching soon, and could be priced similarly to the original price of the OnePlus One.
OnePlus One + Dropbox offer:
OnePlus has announced that it is partnering with cloud storage service, Dropbox, to offer a one year subscription for Dropbox Pro (1TB storage space) and a 64GB OnePlus One for $349. This offer is only for customers in the US, Canada and EU, and only valid for purchases made after June 10th.
In comparison, a 1 year scubscription for Dropbox Pro normally costs $99. So you get it for just $49 with the OnePlus-Dropbox offer.
OnePlus One India price cut:
OnePlus India says that it will be offering a discount in a flash sale soon, but there is no word yet on when that is happening.
