The OnePlus X is now available without invites from the company’s website.
The news comes from the OnePlus forums, where the company’s co-founder Carl Pei, announced the welcome move.
The OnePlus X was launched on October 29th globally, including in India (at New delhi), and less than three months after the device was launched, the company has gotten rid of the invite system. This is actually quite faster than when the OnePlus 2 dropped the invite system, four months after it was launched.
Sadly though, this doesn’t apply to the Indian OnePlus X sold through Amazon India. All three variants: the Onyx, the Champagne and the Ceramic Editions still require invites to buy the phone.
It is a bit odd, considering that our emails have been flooded with invites, which suggests that clearly that there is no shortage of supply, yet OnePlus hasn’t ditched the invite system for the OnePlus X in India.
