Opera, the software company famous for its browsers, has updated its mobile app, Opera Mini to add some important changes.
The latest version of the app (version 14.0.2065.99985), adds support for 90 Languages.
More importantly, the Opera Mini has added support for 13 more Indian languages. These are:
- Assamese
- Bengali
- Gujarati
- Hindi
- Kannada
- Kashmiri
- Malayalam
- Marathi
- Oriya
- Punjabi
- Tamil
- Telugu
- Urdu
How to change the language in Opera Mini browser:
- Open Opera Mini
- Tap on the Settings option.
- Scroll down and tap on Language.
- Select the language you want to, and the browser will prompt you to restart the app for the change to take effect.
- Tap on the restart button, and the app will close and open automatically with the new UI language.

Keep in mind that this is just a UI Language, the content you see won’t be translated automatically. Interestingly prior to this update, there wasn’t a single UI language in Opera Mini.
Additionally, Opera has added a QR code reader & generator in Opera Mini. There is a new in-app camera for uploading files as well. You can also set your own search engine for various search categories.
