Oppo has just teased an Invite teaser for an event at Mobile World Congress MWC 2017. The teaser indicates that Oppo may announce a new device “Oppo 5X” during the MWC 2017 event on February 2017 in Barcelona. The teaser comes with tagline of ” GO 5x FURTHER” and a big symbol of 5X. To be honest, we are not sure what the company means by 5X; whether its a new smartphone series or something else? We will know that on Feb 27.
At the moment, Oppo existing flagship devices are oppo R9s and R9s PLus launched few months back in October in China. R9s comes with a 5.50-inch full HD display, powered by 2.0 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor and 4 GB of RAM. It packs 64 GB of internal storage and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based operating system. It features 16 MP main rear camera and a 16 MP front shooter for selfies. Oppo R9s is backed by a 3010 mAh non removable battery.
Whereas R9s Plus comes with a 6.0-inch full HD display, powered by octa-core Snapdragon 653 processor and 6 GB of RAM. It packs 64 GB of internal storage and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based operating system. It features 16 MP main rear camera and a 16 MP front shooter for selfies. Oppo R9s Plus is backed by a 4000 mAh non removable battery.
