OPPO has launched a new mid-range phone called the OPPO R7s, at the GITEX 2015 tech show in Dubai.
The phone flaunts a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD AMOLED display, with a 2.5D Curved Screen, and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
The OPPO R7s runs on Color OS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, and is powered by a 1.5GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with 4GB RAM and an Adreno 405 GPU. The device comes with 32GB of internal storage and has a microSD slot for up to 128GB of expandable memory.
The OPPO R7s sports a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, Phase Detection Auto Focus, a Sony IMX214 sensor, and an f/2.2 aperture. The selfie lens is an 8 megapixel front camera with a f/2.4 aperture.
The phone has a metal unibody design and measures 151.8 × 75.4 ×6.95 mm in dimensions, and weighs at 155g. The OPPO R7s supports Hybrid Dual SIM, and the second nano SIM slot can be used as a microSD slot. Connectvity options on the phone include 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG. The device is backed by a 3,070 mAh battery which supports VOOC Flash Charge, capable of delivering 2 hours of talk time with just 5 minutes, and up to 90% in 50 minutes of charging.
The OPPO R7s will be sold in Singapore, Australia, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and MENA regions from November. The phone will be available from the company’s website in the US and Europe in December.
