Notch in any smartphone became a normal last year with every brand introducing a smartphone with a notch. The conventional wide notch slowly transitioned to a teardrop/waterdrop notch towards the end of the year. We even saw some punch hole smartphones and few smartphones with a pop-up camera. The latest smartphone from Asus went to another level by introducing a swivelling camera in Asus Zenfone 6 that can rotate from back to front using a motor mechanism.
Today, Oppo and Xiaomi have teased the future of smartphones with an under-display or in-display front camera. Both companies shared a small 15 seconds video that demos the in-display camera. Oppo Video shows only half of the notch-free prototype smartphone lying on a desk followed by launching the camera app that showed a live view of the room’s ceiling. The video shows hovering a finger over where the camera that is supposedly hidden.
For those seeking the perfect, notchless smartphone screen experience – prepare to be amazed. 📲
