OnePlus has begun rolling out the OxygenOS 10.3.12 Update for OnePlus 6 and 6T. And before you get your hopes up, no it’s not the Android 11 Update.
The flagship phones that were released in 2018 still remain on Android 10.
What’s new in the OxygenOS 10.3.12 Update for the OnePlus 6 and 6T
The latest firmware from the company includes the July Security Patch from Google. According to the release notes for the update, OnePlus has fixed some known issues, though it does not elaborate on what these bugs were. The change log also states that the OS update improves the stability of the system.
According to a screenshot shared by a user at the OnePlus forums, the OxygenOS 10.3.12 Update for the OnePlus 6 and 6T weighs about 175MB to download. If you have not received the OTA notification for it, head to the Settings to check for the System Update manually. Alternatively, if you don’t want to wait for the update to arrive you may use the OxygenOS updater app from the Google Play Store to download and install the latest software on your phone.
OnePlus is currently testing the Android 11 Update for OnePlus and OnePlus 6T, which is in open beta. There is no clear ETA as to when the stable version will be released. You can find more details about the same at the company’s community forums.
