OxygenOS 2.2.1 OTA Update for the OnePlus X has been released by the Chinese OEM.
The new firmware, is not based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and is still based on Lollipop.
The OxygenOS 2.2.1 update is more of a bug fix update, which fixes the following issues:
Fix for data leak while roaming experienced in some regions
Fix for microphone being muted when using Google Hangouts
Fix for app drawer not launching when google search bar is hidden
The update also updates Google mobile services (GMS) to version 3.0, and the APN to support Tigo. There are some security fixes, some bug fixes and optimizations as well, but there are no details as to what they actually are.
The OxygenOS 2.2.1 update is being rolled out in phases, according to the announcement post.
