OnePlus is finally updating the OnePlus X to Marshmallow, with the release of OxygenOS 3.1.2. The stylish phone which debuted late last year, has been on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop for a very long time, prior to today’s update.
These are the changes which OxygenOS 3.1.2 brings to the stylish phone.
The Marshmallow update gives users the ability to manage permissions for apps, and OnePlus has patched in the latest Android security patches from Google (October bulletin). The company has improved the Alert Slider with more customization settings. The OxygenOS Shelf now allows you to rearrange or remove boards by long pressing on them. The update adds two new apps: OnePlus Music Player and OnePlus Gallery.
There are some launcher upgrades, and some new icon packs, along with a new wallpaper picker, and a bit of customization for the Google Search bar’s looks.
According to the official announcement and the change-log, OxygenOS 3.1.2 for the OnePlus X is rolling out in phases, and will be rolled out more widely over the next few days.
