Panasonic has launched its octa-core P55 Novo smartphone, in India
The phone sports a 5.3-inch ultra-clear HD (720p) IPS display.
The Panasonic P55 Novo, and is powered by a 1.4GHz True Octa Core processor and 1GB RAM. It has 8GB of internal storage, and supports up to 32GB of expandable storage.
The phone runs on runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and features various gesture based functions like Double Tap to Lock/Unlock, Smart Swipe for predefined functions. It also supports input support for 21 Indian Regional Languages, and comes with the following apps: Smart IR based remote Control Function, Fade Mop – Image Editor, Partial Screen Shot, Floating Dial Pad, Gesture Play, Smart Awake & Kwik Lock.
The phone comes with an integrated IR Blaster which users can use to control IR based TV, Set-top-Box, AC and more. It also features the Peel Smart Remote app which acts as a universal home using which users will be able to tune in, set reminders, discover shows & control their home devices.
The Panasonic P55 Novo features a 13 megapixel rear camera with Triple LED flash for taking photos even in Ultra-low light conditions, with the help of the Gradient Capture Function. It is capable of taking FullHD videos at 30fps.
The phone has a 5 megapixel front camera also comes with an LED Flash, which will allow users to take selfies in low light conditions
The P55 Novo has a fabric textured back design. The phone is backed by a 2,500 mAh battery, and measures 147.9 x 73.8 x 8.15 mm in dimensions. The Panasonic P55 Novo comes in three colours: Champagne Gold, Smoke Gray & Midnight Blue.
The phone supports Dual SIM, and 2G (GSM), 3G UMTS, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, A-GPS network connectivitiy, as well as FM Radio and Micro USB 2.0. The P55 Novo also comes with a Light Sensor, Proximity sensor, IR Blaster & Accelerometer.
The Panasonic P55 Novo has been priced at Rs. 9,290 in India. The company is also giving a Leather Flip Cover for free with the phone. The P55 will be available from this week.
