As promised the Pebble’s smartwatch appstore has arrived though consumers on Android may need to wait a bit more. At the moment, Pebble’s smartwatch appstore has arrived only on iOS loaded with over 1,000 apps and watchfaces. On Android, the Beta testing of the appstore has started and if you want, you can get access to the APK file from Pebble’s appstore beta page.
As the Beta tag suggests, the Android release is not yet ready for final release and have some bugs. Some of these bugs include some pairing issues, installation and configuration issues on which developers are working to fix them. The latest beta release is Beta 8 of the Pebble’s appstore.

This releasecomes almost one year after the first version of Pebble SDK was released to developers and for the first time in Pebble users can browse and download third party apps just as they do on their smartphpnes. This release will help users get access to better apps for their wearable device just the way it happened with release of Apple iOS Appstore for iOS devices.
