Smartwatch makers Pebble, have announced that they will be rolling out their Appstore for Android & iOS devices on Monday.
The update will enable users to download apps for their watches using a Pebble account, and pair the smartwatch to their Bluetooth enabled Android tablet or phone.
The announcement comes barely 2 days after the launch of their latest Smartwatch, the Pebble Steel.
The Pebble Appstore will have over 500 apps and faces, with more expected to arrive. Users will be able to manage their apps by using a smartphone companion app. Apps which will be available include Foursquare, GoPro, Yelp and ESPN.
The only downside to the watch is that, it can only handle a total of eight apps at a time, so users will have to narrow down their preferred choice of apps. The Appstore will be a welcome addition for the Pebble users, who earlier had to rely on 3rd-party websites and developers to download apps for their watches.
