Google has added a new feature to its search engine, which could potentially disrupt your productivity in a fun way. Ever wanted to play card games from the search results? You can, and we are not kidding.
Simply head over to Google.com and search for “Solitaire” to play the game, which we Indians call Patience.
This works on both desktops and phones. The PC browser version uses the mouse to play the game in an in-window pop-up, while the mobile version uses touch screen input and plays in a full screen UI. But there are no other differences between the two versions.
If you see ads for Solitaire Android games in the search results, scroll down until you see “Click to Play” or “Tap to Play”. Doing so will bring up the game.
There is a timer and score, and the deck background has Google’s G logo on it. You can undo moves or play a new game (easy and hard modes available) using the options on the bottom of the game’s UI. The game plays single card draw, and there doesn’t seem be any option to change it.
Similarly you can Google for the words Tic Tac Toe, to play the good old game from the search page.
Tic Tac Toe is played right from the search page, and does not have a full screen UI.
This isn’t the first time Google has included a game in its search page. It featured Snake, Pacman games before.
