The Poco F3 GT India launch was recently confirmed by the company. The Country Director of Poco India, Anuj Sharma, has revealed some details about the device, in an interview.
The phone will be the brand’s first device in India, to feature an AMOLED display. The screen is a 10-bit panel, supports 1.07 Billion colors, HDR10+, and has a 120Hz Refresh Rate. And it’s not just an OLED panel, but one that supports DCI-P3 Colour Gamut and DC Dimming. This is a feature normally found only in premium flagship devices from the brand.
The company has confirmed that the handset has High Fidelity Stereo Speakers with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Wireless Radio. In addition to this, it will have three microphones and three Wi-Fi antennas.
Teasers from the company have already confirmed that the Poco F3 GT will come in 2 colours: Predator Black and Gunmetal Silver. The device has a Slipstream Design, with an anti-fingerprint matte finish, and a premium glass back. The device’s frame is made with aerospace-grade aluminium alloy.
Sharma says that the Covid-19 issue last year was the reason why the brand did not launch the Poco F series in India. But since things have been improving, the company is introducing a new device.
India Today reports that the Poco F3 GT will be priced at around Rs. 30,000, in order to compete with the OnePlus Nord 2. Sharma confirmed that the Poco F3 GT will be announced this month, but not on July 22nd to coincide with the OnePlus Nord 2 launch.
That being said, rumour has it that the Poco F3 GT is a rebranded version of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition.
