The Poco F4 Android 13 update is rolling out to users in India. The news comes from the brand’s chief, Himanshu Tandon.
What’s new in the Poco F4 Android 13 update
The firmware is based on MIUI 14, it is the first major upgrade for the device, and upgrades the operating system from Android 12 to Android 13. The Poco F4 Android 13 update adds support for Reliance Jio 5G mobile network connectivity. It ships with the January 2023 Android Security Patch.
The Poco F4 Android 13 update has the version number MIUI 14.0.2.0.TLMINXM. It is around 3.5GB in size to download. The update is being rolled out in a stage manner, initially to beta users. Tandon has confirmed that the company will test the OS for a week for critical bugs and feedback from users, before releasing it for all users.
The flagship phone was launched in June 2022, and is equipped with a 6.67-inches E4 AMOLED Full HD+ display, that supports 120Hz Refresh Rate, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 octa-core processor, with 6GB/8GB/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Poco F4 4G has a 4,500 mAh battery that supports 67W Fast Charging via a USB Type-C port. The main camera array on the rear panel consists of a 64MP sensor with OIS, an 8MP 119° ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro sensor. The smartphone has a 20MP selfie camera.
