The Poco M6 Pro 5G has been launched in India. The phone is a rebranded version of the Redmi 12 5G, which was announced just three days ago.
The M6 Pro 5G sports a 6.79-inches Full HD+ LCD. The screen supports a resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels, 550 nits brightness, has a 1500: 1 contrast ratio, a 90Hz refresh rate (30 / 48 / 60 / 90 Hz), 240Hz touch sampling rate, Full DC Dimming, and SGS low blue light certification.
The smartphone runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13 out of the box. Poco has promised to support the M6 Pro 5G with 2 major Android updates and 3 years of security updates.
The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 octa-core processor with an Adreno 613 GPU, 4 GB / 6 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 64 GB / 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Poco has packed a 5000 mAh battery in the device, it supports 22.5 W fast charging via a USB Type-C port.
The primary camera on the Poco M6 Pro 5G is a 50 megapixels sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, while the secondary lens is a 2 megapixels depth sensor that has an f/2.4 aperture and an LED flash. The cameras support Full HD 1080p video recording @ 30 frames per second, and Phase Detect Autofocus (PDAF). The front camera on the mobile is an 8 megapixels snapper with an f/2.2 aperture, and supports 1080p video recording @ 30 fps.
The M6 Pro 5G hasa 3.5 mm headphone jack, a loudspeaker, and supports Hi-Res Audio. The device has a side-mounted fingerprint reader, an ambient light sensor, an acceleration sensor, a virtual gyroscope, an electronic compass, an infrared remote control, and a virtual proximity sensor.

The Poco M6 Pro 5G price in India starts at Rs. 10,999 for the 4 GB / 64 GB version, while the 6 GB / 128 GB variant costs Rs. 12,999. The device will be available for purchase from August 9th exclusively on Flipkart. The mobile comes in two colours: Forest Green and Power Black.
