Remember Random Heroes? The action platformer we fell in love with? The sequel, Random Heroes 2 is now available for Android devices.
The game was released in April for iOS devices, and Noodlecake have ported it to Android very quickly.
I played a couple of levels to see whats new in the game. The difference between the sequel and the original titles, are quite noticeable. For one thing, you can aim your gun and shoot in an upward direction. This is to shoot down spikes in the ceiling, which otherwise fall on you. But you can also use this to shoot down enemies, whilst standing on a lower level. Sneaky, huh?
You can upgrade your weapons from the in-game shop, and also equip your character with various weapons, there are 22 guns in total. You can also unlock and play as 18 characters. Each level has three stars, and crystal skulls. You can use the skulls for revives, and for upgrading the weapons. There are hidden areas in each level which contains coins, and maybe a star. The game has 90 levels spread across three worlds: Alien City, Factory and The Lair. The controls are what made RH an excellent game, and they are buttery smooth in this one as well. You can rescale the size of the on screen buttons, and also move them around to your liking. The soundtrack also complements the gameplay very well.
RH 2 also utilises Google Play Game Services for Leaderboards and Achievements
