The third smartphone from Realme i.e. Realme 2 Pro is scheduled to be officially launched on September 27 with better hardware and higher price compared to Realme 2 that was launched last month. Realme 2 turned out to be a toned down variant of Realme 1 targeted towards the entry-level budget smartphone segment in India and Realme 2 Pro is expected to offer the real upgrade over Realme 1.
The company has released a video teaser disguised as promotional video for the brand, which includes Realme 2 Pro for some time in the video even though doesn’t name the Realme 2 Pro device. From the video, we can see the device used comes with a waterdrop display instead of the usual notch, as we have seen in devices such as Oppo F9 Pro and Vivo V11 Pro. The dual camera module at rear is also clearly visible, but the much hyped Diaomond pattern back panel is missing and instead a glass panel appears to be there. Have a look at some of the screenshots taken from the video:
And here is the official teaser by Realme on Youtube.
At the moment, not much is known about the hardware specifications of the device. But we can safely assume a better hardware with SOC chip Mediatek P60 or better or a Snapdragon 6XX with RAM up to 6GB. Better display with waterdrop notch is already confirmed with this teaser. It is expected to offer a better dual camera module and selfie camera of Realme 1 which featured a single 13MP main rear camera with PDAF, Geo-Tagging, Depth Effect along with 8MP front shooter with Portrait Mode. Realme 2 came with an entry level Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor and many users were disappointed.
There is still almost two weeks time left for the official launch. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
