Realme has announced the Realme 8 5G globally. This is the first phone in India to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G octa-core processor. The 7nm chipset is clocked at 2.2GHz, and has an ARM Mali-G57 GPU.
The phone is equipped with a 6.5-inches Full HD+ LCD display, with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 90.5% screen-to-body ratio, 600 nits brightness, and 405 PPI pixel density. The selfie lens is a 16MP sensor with an f/2.1 aperture. The Realme 8 5G runs on Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0, and has 4GB/8GB of LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB UFS 2.1 storage.
The handset has a dedicated microSD card slot that supports of up to 1TB of additional memory. It is backed by a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W Fast Charging, over a USB Type-C port. The main camera setup on the Realme 8 5G comprises a 48MP f/1.8 aperture lens that supports PDAF, an 8MP Ultra-wide angle lens with an 119° FOV, an f/2.25 aperture, a 2MP Macro lens with 4cm focus, an f/2.4 aperture, a B & W lens, with an f/2.4 aperture and an LED Flash. The device has a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

Realme 8 5G price in India
The Realme 8 5G has been priced at Rs. 14,999 in India, for the 4GB/128GB version, while the 8GB/128GB variant will cost Rs. 17,999. The device goes on sale, and will be available exclusively at Flipkart and Realme.com. The phone comes in 2 colourways: Supersonic Black and Supersonic Blue. It goes on sale at 12PM on April 28th.
