About a month ago, we reported that Realme would be rolling out an open beta version of Android Pie, in the form of Color OS 5.2, to testers. If you were wondering when the Realme Android Pie Update stable version would be released, the company has answered just that.
According to Realme’s Twitter account, the company will be releasing the update for its devices by Q1 and Q2 2019. So, we should be expecting the Realme Android Pie Update to completely roll out by the end of June 2019.
Which devices are eligible for the Realme Android Pie Update?
All of Realme’s phones will be updated to the latest version of Android. So far, these are the devices which the company has launched.
- Realme 1
- Realme 2
- Realme 2 Pro
- Realme C1
- Realme U1
That’s pretty good news for Realme users, but the Realme Android Pie Update release date window of nearly 6 months from now, might annoy a few. There is a chance that the update could land sooner than the promised date, providing the beta test proves to be successful.
On the bright side, we think that Realme users will be happy that they’re still getting an OS update, unlike some companies which release a newer version of their custom Android skin for their device, and call it an “update”.
