It appears that the iQOO 3 may not be the first 5G phone to be announced in India. The Realme X50 Pro 5G is all set to steal its thunder.
Realme X50 Pro 5G Launch Date
The Realme X50 Pro 5G launch date has been confirmed. The device will debut on 24th February globally with a launch event set in India and an online one from Spain, just a day ahead of the iQOO 3’s launch.
The move to be known as “India’s first 5G phone” seems childish, even more so considering that 5G isn’t even available in the Country. It gets weirder because iQOO is a subsidiary of Vivo, and Realme is of OPPO, all of which along with OnePlus are owned by BBK Electronics.
Back to the device, here’s what we know about the Realme X50 Pro 5G. The phone has a 90Hz Super AMOLED display, with dual punch hole cameras for the selfie lenses. The volume rocker keys are on the left edge of the phone.
There is a USB Type-C port at the bottom that supports 65W SuperDart Fast Charging. Also present on the bottom is the SIM card tray, a noise-cancelling microphone and a lone speaker grille. We cannot confirm the presence of the 3.5mm headphone jack on the device from these images.
The rear panel of the Realme X50 Pro 5G has a vertical camera bump that houses the AI Quad Camera setup. The lack of a fingerprint scanner on the rear suggests that the phone could be equipped with an In-display Fingerprint Scanner.
The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. The phone runs on Android 10 with realmeOS, has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of Storage. The model number of the device is RMX2071.
According to an image posted by Xu Qi Chase, the Vice President of Realme and President of Global Marketing, the device scored 574,985 points in an AnTuTu benchmark.
More specs will be revealed on the road up to the Realme X50 Pro 5G launch date.
