Xiaomi Redmi 1S is one of the hugely sold out smartphones in India via flash sales on Flipkart. Redmi 1S has been successful in selling out its weekly inventory in few seconds each week except the Flipkart billion day sale when almost 150000 units got sold in few hours (the sale was unannounced for that day).
One of the problems or complains that many Redmi 1S users have shared in MIUI forums or other places on the web, is that Redmi 1S device is getting overheated often if they are playing games, recording videos or even just using the smartphone in daily use. Even though I never faced any overheating issue with my Redmi 1S, yet many users do reported the overheating issue.
It seems Xiaomi has been listening to user feedback and hence the latest update of MIUI is trying to fix the overheating issue ( The update is already being rolled out to Redmi 1S users). The latest MIUI JHCMIBH45.0 (stable) update comes with two major highlights:
- Added thermal control to prevent the device from heating
- Optimized RAM usage to prevent background apps from getting killed.
Apart from these, it also improves the security of cloud messaging.
The update is 515MB in size and it must have reached your Redmi 1S already. If not, it will reach you soon.
We would love to hear some feedback from the users if the update actually fixes the overheating issue faced by many. Do share your feedback.
