Xiaomi has announced that it will be selling the Redmi 1S on December 8, Monday.
The news came via Mi India’s official Twitter account, who tweeted the above image.
Xiaomi has neither when the device would go on sale tomorrow, nor the number of units available. So it’s pretty much, a first come first serve sale.

There are two unusual things about this sale. Firstly, the company usually sells it’s devices on Tuesdays. Secondly this will be an open sale, and will not require any registrations to purchase the phone. This leads to speculation whether it could be the last sale of the Redmi 1S in India.
Earlier this year, Xiaomi discontinued the sales of the Mi 3 in India, barely two months after debiting in the Indian market. That happened a day after the Redmi 1S was launched in the Country. With that in mind, if Xiaomi does top the sales of the Redmi 1S, it is possible that they are doing so to promote the sales of the Redmi Note. Although we mustn’t forget that the company did state that they would be selling the Mi 4 in December, so anything is possible.
The Redmi 1S will be available anytime tomorrow, we will update you when that happens. The phone retails for Rs. 5,999 at Flipkart.
Update: Xiaomi has announced that the phone will be on sale from 6 AM on December 8.
