Yesterday we told you that Mi India, was teasing about a new announcement, and that it could be a price drop for the Redmi 2.
And we also reported that Xiaomi had slashed the price of the phone in China yesterday.
Today, Mi India officially announced the Rs.1,000 price cut for the Redmi 2. The handset is now available for Rs. 5,999 from mi.com/in, and also at Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal. Additionally Flipkart has an exchange offer, using which you may get up to Rs. 2,000 off of the price, which further drops the Redmi 2’s price tag to just Rs. 3,999.
Mi India also recently slashed the price of the Redmi Note by Rs. 2,000, and the phablet is now available for Rs. 7,999.
