Xiaomi could be launching the Redmi 2 in India next week.
The company has put up a word puzzle on their website, which is part of a contest, the prizes for which are priority passes for buying a device.
The page is captioned “Coming Soon – 12 March 2015”, and the puzzle itself has keywords like Matte, Snapdragon, Cortex, Quick Charge, Expandable, Wideangle, Dual SIM and more.

These clues suggest that the new device could be the Redmi 2.
The phone is powered by a 64-Bit 1.2 GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, an Adreno 306 GPU and 1 GB of RAM. It sports a 4.7 inch 720P HD display,and runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat with MIUI.
The Redmi 2 has 8 GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card slot. The rear camera is an 8 megapixel wideangle lens, while the front camera is a 2 Megapixel snapper. It is a Dual SIM device which supports 4G LTE networks. the device is backed by a 2,200 mAh battery.

The Redmi 2 could be priced at Rs. 6,999, as the phone retails for 699 Yuan in China, which is about Rs. 7,000.
