Xiaomi has revealed the Redmi A1+ launch date. The mid-range mobile will be announced on October 14th in India.
The company has confirmed that the phone will run on clean Android 12 without MIUI. This is an interesting move from the Chinese OEM, which last launched a stock Android mobile in 2019, the Mi A1.
A teaser page for the Redmi A1+ reveals the design of the phone, it has a water-drop notch display. One of the images shows a HD video playing on YouTube, so the screen could be an HD+ panel.
The device will pack a 5,000mAh battery. It has dual cameras and a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel. Xiaomi says that the Redmi A1+ has a leather texture finish. It will be available in three colours: Green, Blue, Black.
Redmi A1+ specs

- Operating System: Android 12, stock Android
- Battery: 5,000 mAh
- Cameras: Dual Cameras, AI
- Security: Rear fingerprint reader
- Design: Leather texture finish

The rest of the phone’s specs remain a mystery. It is worth noting that Xiaomi had launched the Redmi A1 last month in India, so it is possible that the Redmi A1+ is the same smartphone, but with stock Android. If so, we could expect the Redmi A1 Plus to be powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 processor.
