Xiaomi has announced a new phone called the Redmi Note 10 Lite, in India. But is it new, really? The answer is no, because the device is a rebranded version of last year’s Redmi Note 9 Pro.
The Note 10 Lite features a 6.67-inches Full HD+ LCD screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, 1500:1 Contrast Ratio, 84% NTSC Colour Gamut, TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification, Reading mode 2.0, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone runs on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor clocked @2.3GHz, with an Adreno 618 GPU. It has 4GB, 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 64GB/128GB of storage.
The front camera is a 16 megapixels selfie lens with an f/2.48 aperture. The rear camera set up is home to a quad lens array comprising a 48MP f/1.79 aperture lens with an FOV of 79.8°,an 8MP Ultra-Wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture, an FOV of 119°, a 5MP Macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture, a 2MP Depth Camera also with an f/2.4 aperture, and an LED Flash module.
The handset supports Dual SIM cards with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Dualband 2.4GHz/5GHz, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Display, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS / Galileo/ GLONASS / Beidou and NavIC.
The Note 10 Lite is backed by a 5020 mAh battery that charges over a USB Type-C port and supports 18W Fast Charging.
The phone measures 165.75 x 76.68 x 8.8mm, and weighs 209g. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint reader, a Z-axis linear vibration motor, a Distance sensor, an In-screen ambient light sensor (virtual), an Accelerometer, a Gyroscope, an Electronic compass and an IR blaster.

Redmi has priced the Note 10 Lite starting at Rs. 13,999 for the base version with 4GB/64GB, and at Rs. 15,999 for the 4GB/128GB model. The 6GB/128GB variant costs Rs. 16,999. The device will be available for purchase from October 2nd via Amazon and Mi.com, and comes in 4 colours: Aurora Blue, Glacier White, Champagne Gold, and Interstellar Black.
