Realme has announced the next gen version of its custom Android skin. Here’s when your phone will get the Realme UI 3.0 Update based on Android 12.
The operating system shares a lot of similarities with Oppo’s ColorOS 12. It brings Phone Manager 2.0 with support for Call Blocking, App Lock, Hide Apps, Private Safe and Payment Security.
The new firmware brings Private Pic Share, which hides your picture information, i.e. it removes the metadata from the photos.
Speaking of privacy, the OS lets you enable Approximate Location sharing for apps such as Weather that don’t need your real location.
Another new feature in Realme UI 3.0 is App Permission Recording, it’s essentially a different name for the Privacy Dashboard feature, that lets you view which apps have accessed the camera and microphone. The animations in the OS have been optimized, and the AI Smooth Engine supports memory compression and resource scheduling. Realme claims that the memory usage has been improved, and apps will launch 13% faster, while the battery life has increased by 12%.
There are new personalization features in Realme UI 3.0, such as customizable Always-on display, and dynamic wallpapers for select devices. The OS lets you use Omojis, aka personalized avatars, just like in ColorOS 12. You can set any colour as the new global theme in the OS.
