Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy S5 Mini today.
The phone has a larger display and a higher resolution than the S4 Mini, and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
The Galaxy S5 Mini features a 4.5” HD Super AMOLED display, and is powered by a 1.4GHz Quad Core Processor (Exynos 3470), and 1.5 GB of RAM. It has 16 GB of Internal memory, which is expandable up to 64 GB via a microSD slot. The phone sports an 8.0 Megapixel Camera on the rear which supports Auto Focus and LED Flash, and a 2.1 Megapixel camera on the front. The phone packs a 2,100 mAh battery.
NFC will only be available in the LTE variant of the phone.

The S5 Mini is IP67 certified, and comes with various features such as an Ultra Power Saving Mode, a heart rate monitor (rear), a fingerprint scanner (on the home button), and is compatible with Samsung’s wearables.
A Dual SIM version of the phone, will also be available.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini will come in 4 colors: Charcoal Black, Shimmery White, Electric Blue and Copper Gold. It will be available in Russia early in July, and will expand to other markets. Despite it’s mediocre specifications, the phone is reported to carry a price tag of $650.
