5G is the next big thing in the world of mobiles, and we have seen quite a few devices released in India with support for the new network protocol. Samsung is reportedly prepping to crank it up a notch, by bringing an affordable 5G device to our Country. And this phone is reportedly the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G.
South Korean news outlet, Daum, reports that the electronics giant will announce the device in the second half of 2021. The phone will be launched in India and South East Asia.
Samsung is also expected to launch another affordable 5G phone, called the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G. This device will be announced in the first half of next year. It remains unclear if this phone will be made available in other markets.
The report also hints at the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G price, and the device will cost around 200,000 Won. That translates to about Rs. 13,500. If true, this will provide some serious competition for the likes of Redmi, Realme brands. On a separate note, leaker Abhishek Yadav suggests that the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G could be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 600 processor. That could be the reason why the device will have an affordable price tag, compared to Qualcomm’s expensive 5G chipsets.
