The Samsung Galaxy A50 June update is being seeded by the company. If you can recall, the mid-range device debuted in India way back in February 2019.
What’s new in the Samsung Galaxy A50 June update
Samsung’s official website includes a very basic release note for the firmware. All that it says is that the update improves the security of the device, and mentions that it includes the June Security Path from Android. The phone is already running on Android 11, which it received in March 2021. The company is rolling out security updates to the phone every month, though it skipped the May Security Patch, i.e. it jumped from the April Security Update to the June Update.
According to a screenshot shared by a user on the Samsung community forums, the Samsung Galaxy A50 June update weighs about 555MB to download. It is available for the device with the model number SM-A505F. The firmware’s build number (version number) is A505FDDU8CUE4/ A505FODM8CUE4/ A505FXXU8CUE3.
A few users have already received the update, but we expect to be rolled out in batches. To check if the OTA is available for your phone manually, head to the Settings page, tap on Software Update > Download and Install button.
