Samsung Galaxy J Max photo leaked: could be a massive phablet

A new photo of a phone in the Samsung Galaxy J series has been leaked. And it is allegedly called the Galaxy J Max, according to Evan Blass.

Samsung Galaxy J Max

Both parts of the name should be familiar by now, for the South Korean electronics giant has used Max for its Grand series previously, and its J series, is currently the most popular mid-range offering from the company.

The phone seems to have a dual tone back, with Gold and Black colours, but it is likely that the lower half is just for a press render. The phone’s speakers are somewhat dated, and not similar to the other phones in the J series. The rear camera appears to have a hump, and an LED flash next to it.

Also, it is worth noting that there have been a few other “Max” devices from rivals, including the Xiaomi Mi Max, LG Max and the ASUS Zenfone Max. The fact that the name includes Max, indicates that this is a phablet, that’s a no-brainer.

But how big will it be? Well, if you look at the recently launched Galaxy J5 2016, J7 2016 models, they have a 5.2 and 5.5 inch display respectively. This suggests that the Galaxy J7 Max will have an even bigger screen, so it could probably be a 6-inch display or even larger (like the Mi Max’s 6.44-inch screen).

Considering that the J series is highly popular in India, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if it was launched in our Country first, even before a China launch.
