Samsung has launched two mid-range smartphones in India.
They are the Samsung Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7.
Samsung Galaxy J5:
The J5 flaunts a 5-inch (720p) HD IPS display, and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor with Adreno 306 GPU and 1.5GB RAM.
The Galaxy J5 comes with 16GB of internal storage, and supports up to 64GB of expandable memory with microSD cards. The phone sports a 13 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture, and a 5 Megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash, and 120-degree wide-angle lens.
The Samsung Galaxy J5 is a Dual SIM device, which supports 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS connectivity, and is backed by a 2,600 mAh battery. The phone weighs in at 149g and measures 142 x 73 x 8.5mm in dimensions.
Samsung Galaxy J7:
The J7 is a phablet, which sports a 5.5-inch (720p) HD IPS display, and is powered by a Octa-Core (1.4GHz + 1GHz) Exynos processor, with 1.5GB RAM.
The phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop, and comes with 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB with microSD. The Galaxy J7 adorns a 13 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture, and a 5 Megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash, and 120-degree wide-angle lens.
The phone packs in a massive 3,000 mAh battery, and supports Dual SIM cards. In terms of connectivity, the device supports 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS. The J7 measures 152.2 x 79.1 x 7.9mm in dimensions and weighs at 168g.
The Samsung Galaxy J5 has been priced at Rs. 11,999, while the Samsung Galaxy J7 will retail for Rs 14,999 in India. Both phones will be sold exclusively through Flipkart.
