Samsung will launch the Galaxy M series in India this month. These will be the company’s first phones to make their global debut in India.
At the end of December, we reported about a Galaxy M20 leak, which featured a device with a water-drop notch display. Now, we have official confirmation about the new phone lineup since the news comes from an interview with Reuters, where Samsung India Chief, Asim Warsi, revealed the company’s plans.
Samsung Galaxy M series pricing
The Samsung Galaxy M series will consist of three phones at launch. And all of these will be sold as online exclusives, via Amazon and Samsung’s own e-store. According to Warsi, the Galaxy M series price will start at less than Rs. 10,000 and go up to Rs. 20,000. The devices will pack in chunkier batteries.
If you read our Galaxy M20 leak, we did mention that the phone could have a 5,000 mAh battery. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo is equipped with a massive display, which could be up to 6.4-inches, and will be powered by an octa-core Exynos 7885 processor with 3GB of RAM. The Galaxy M20 will sport dual cameras on the back, and a rear-placed fingerprint scanner.
These specs are impressive if true, and could compete with the likes of popular phones from ASUS, Xiaomi, Realme, etc.
Rumour has it that the Samsung Galaxy M series India launch date is January 28th. Though phones will be launched in India, Warsi said that the devices will be available globally after the announcement.
