Samsung is about to announce a new affordable smartphone in India. A listing for the upcoming M-series device has popped up on Amazon’s website. The phone is called the Samsung Galaxy M02.
Yes, we know what you’re thinking. Didn’t the company launch the Samsung Galaxy M02s earlier this month? Indeed, they did. As a matter of fact, the Samsung Galaxy M02 looks very similar to it ,and features an identical 6.5-inch display with an Infinity V water-drop notch. The screen is an HD+ panel, and houses a selfie camera inside the notch.
And just like the M02s, the Galaxy M02 is also backed by a 5,000 mAh battery. But that is the extent of the tech specs that we know about as of now.
Samsung Galaxy M02 to be priced below Rs. 7,000 in India
The teaser page on Amazon however hints an important aspect about the phone, the expected price. It suggests that the Samsung Galaxy M02 price will be about Rs, 6,XXX which we think could be Rs. 6,999.
In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy M02s is priced at Rs. 8,999 for the base variant of the phone that has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Since the M02 will cost even less, we expect it will have 2GB of RAM with 32GB of storage, and perhaps may feature a single rear camera. It likely won’t have a fingerprint scanner, but neither does the M02s.
Here’s a recap of the M02s technical data.
