Samsung is still under cloud for the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco which made them pull out their flagship device from the market after series of burn issues and exploding Note 7 cases around the world. Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was permanently discontinued after multiple fires and two global recalls. Samsung conducted a study for months and had managed to pinpoint the cause of the burn / explosion to the battery & its design. In spite of this fiasco, the company appears to be working on the next variant in Galaxy Note series which may be called Galaxy Note 8 (we are assuming the name for sure).
A new rumor has emerged which indicates that the development is already in works and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 project is code-named “Baikal”. Baikal is basically the name of ancient & massive lake in the mountainous Russian region of Siberia, north of the Mongolian border and considered the deepest lake in the world. Usually code names can by anything and companies uses them to keep things under wraps.
At the moment we have no details about the technical specifications or even the guess the possible launch date of Samsung Galaxy Note 8. All we know is, that Galaxy Note 8 is in development phase with a rumored code name for the project as Baikal.
As with any other leak, take this with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
