Rumors floating around mention that a new mid range phone from Samsung is about to be launched soon. This mystery device could be the Samsung Galaxy P30.
Don’t confuse it with the Moto P30, which has a similar name, but is the most shameless iPhone X clone ever made.
The P series is a new series of devices from the South Korean company. A few months ago, a report claimed that Samsung plans to replace the J series with a new R and P series, in China.
So, the Samsung Galaxy P30 is probably the first of the planned phones. The device has been listed on China 3C’s certification agency’s portal. The phone’s model number is SM-G6200.
The Samsung Galaxy P30 will reportedly be equipped with an LCD display panel. This is a bit odd, considering Samsung manufactures and uses OLED panels for its devices. But, it is also said that the Galaxy P30 could sport an in-display fingerprint scanner, something which Samsung has been wanting to include on its devices, for quite a while.
We think that Samsung is actually opting for an LCD display, which could help the company price the phone affordably, and compete with the likes of Huawei, Xiaomi and OPPO in their home market.
At the moment, we don’t have any more details about the Samsung Galaxy P30’s technical specifications, or the launch date, or the price. Stay tuned to AndroidPure, and we will update you if and when we hear more about the device.
