The Samsung Galaxy S10 launch is quite far away, but leaks about the devices have begun sprouting. The latest rumour suggests that a Galaxy S10 flat display variant exists.
Samsung Galaxy S7 flat display variant
This, if true, will be the first flagship from Samsung, in three years (talking about a 2019 launch here), to have a flat display, since the Galaxy S7 in 2016.
According to the leaker, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Flat Display variant has a screen size of 5.8-inches, and has the model number SM-G970. The display will likely have an aspect ratio of 18.5:9, so it could still have a bezel-less design.
The other two variants of the device will have the Edge display that we have seen since the Galaxy S8 and S9. The SM-G973 is the model number of the Galaxy S10 with an 5.8 edge display. The SM-G975 is the model number of the device which has a 6.44 edge display, and is likely the Galaxy S10 Plus or the Galaxy S10 Edge Plus.

We are not sure why Samsung is doing this, but not everyone likes the curved edge to edge screen. Also, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Flat Display variant could be cheaper than the other variants. Only time can tell if the variant will have the same technical specifications as the other models. Samsung has been rumoured to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner in the Galaxy S10.
That being said, we have a good 6 months to go before Samsung unveils the Galaxy S10. So, take the leak with a pinch of salt, while we keep an eye out for more information about the device.
