Samsung is prepping to launch its next gen flagship. A Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra leaked render reveals that the phone has a design similar to the Galaxy Note.
The image leaked by Evleaks, shows a rectangular design as opposed to a curved one in the normal variants. It resembles the design of the Note series that was discontinued by the South Korean electronics giant. We have seen this in a previous leak.
That said, the Galaxy S22 Ultra leaked image shows the display has curved edges on the sides. Rumour has it the phone will equipped with an AMOLED display that supports QHD+ resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate.
The device is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest premium processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. It is likely to be used in variants sold in South Korea, the US, while the rest of the world could get a variant powered by the Exynos 2200 SoC. XDA reports that India could get the Snapdragon variant of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, unlike what we have seen in the past. If this is true, then users are in for a treat, as the Snapdragon chipset usually trumps the Exynos variants in terms of performance and gaming.
The handset is expected to make its debut in early 2022, possibly between late February and March, per its usual tradition.
