If you own a Samsung Galaxy S4 and have been waiting patiently to get an Android 4.4.2 Kitkat update, here is some good news. Samsung has started rolling out Android 4..2 Kitkat update to Samsung Galaxy users across US and even some users in India are reporting that they have received the update already on their device.
As you know, Samsung Galaxy S4 is one of the flagship devices from Samsung, now being replaced by Samsung Galaxy S5. Samsung being one of the largest manufacturer of Android smartphone and Galaxy s4 being a flagship device, it should have received this update earlier considering the fast pace by which Motorola updated its devices like Moto G and Moto X to Android 4.4.2 kitkat version.
If you want to check if the update is available on your device, you can do that by going to Settings > More > About Device > Software update > Update on your Galaxy s4. If it says, an update is available, you can download and install the OTA update. If you want to use your PC, then you need to connect Galaxy S4 to your computer and use Samsung Kies to install the update.
The update brings usual Android 4.4.2 kitkat stock features along with other updates to Samsung own customizations.
