Samsung’s upcoming flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S5, will feature a 2K screen, and a 20 Megapixel Camera.
The S5 will run Android KitKat 5.
The S5 was rumored to be launching in two variants, one powered by an Exynos 6 and another by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805. This leaked photo of the device’s box, if genuine, would be for the Snapdragon version.
However, the photo does not show the rest of the box, so take it with a gran of salt.
Here is a list of the leaked specifications:
Display | 5.25-inch qHD (2K) Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels at a density of 560 ppi |
Processor | 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor |
RAM | 3 GB LPDDR3 |
Camera | 20 Megapixel AP camera, 2 Megapixel front camera |
Battery | 3000 mAH |
Other features | GPS/Glonass, LTE, Smart Remote, Full HD 1080p video playback & recording |
No details about the devices’s GPU, or Internal Storage, or even the Android version it will ship with, has been revealed yet. But from the above specs, I can only say that the S5 will not be just a smartphone, but a superphone.
Samsung will announce the launch of the Galaxy S5 on 24th February, at Unpacked 5, which will be held at the Mobile World Congress, in Barcelona.
