Samsung has launched its 2015 flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 5, and phablet version of the S6 Edge, which has been named the Galaxy S6 Edge+.
Here are the technical specifications of the two devices.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ features a 5.7” Dual edge Display with a resolution of Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels), with a pixel density of 518ppi. The Samsung Galaxy Note5 features a similar display, but without the Dual Edge display.
Both devices run on Android 5.1 Lollipop, and are powered by a 64 bit Octa core processor (2.1GHz Quad + 1.5GHz Quad) with 4GB RAM (LPDDR4). The phablets will be available in two storage variants 32/64GB, and do not support expandable memory, i.e. no SD cards.
The rear camera on the S6 Edge+ and the Note 5 is a 16 megapixel shooter with an f/1.9 aperture and an OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation), while the selfie lens is a 5 megapixel camera which also has an f/1.9 aperture.
The devices are backed by a 3,000mAh battery which supports Fast Charging in both wired and wireless charging modes. The phablets support NFC, MST, WiFi, Bluetooth v 4.2 LE, USB 2.0, NFC, GPS and 4G LTE (Cat.9 / LTE Cat.6 based on the region). The devices also support a slew of sensors: Accelerometer, Proximity, RGB Light, Geo-magnetic, Gyro, Fingerprint, Barometer, Hall, HRM.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ measures at 154.4 x 75.8 x 6.9mm in dimensions and weighs 153g, while the Samsung Galaxy Note5 sizes up to 153.2 x 76.1 x 7.6mm and is heavier at 171g.

Samsung has announced a rather unusual cover for the S6 Edge Plus, called the Keyboard Cover.
Both devices will be available globally from August, 2015. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Samsung Galaxy Note5 will be available in 4 colours: White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium.
