Samsung has slashed the prices of its 2016 flagship phones, the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge, in India. The move comes barely 10 days after the launch of the South Korean electronics giant’s flagship phablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, was launched in the Country.
The company is no stranger to trimming the price tags of its best devices, and does it quite frequently once every 3 to 6 months after they are launched.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge, were originally launched in March in India, for Rs. 48,900 and Rs. 56,900 respectively.
Five months later, the phones are now more affordable thanks to Rs. 5000 price drops each. Amazon India is already selling the devices at their new prices. The Samsung Galaxy S7 is now available for Rs. 43,400 while the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge retails for Rs. 50,900.
These aren’t exactly affordable prices for what many consider to be the best phones of 2016, but it certainly brings them a lot closer to people who dream about buying the devices.
Thanks Krish for the tip.
