S Pen is one of the most popular features of Samsung Galaxy Note devices and after Note 7 fiasco, rumors around Galaxy S8 do indicate that the company may be planning to offer the S Pen feature with even the Galaxy S8 devices. Rumors about S Pen though are still far from credible ones and we are yet to get some concrete evidence which confirms the same. Today, a new leak coming from Mobilefun in the form of silicon cases indicate that S Pen indeed may be coming with Galaxy S8.
The leaked cases are for S8 & S8 Plus variants of the upcoming flagship device and if you look at the cases carefully, you can clearly see a slot for S Pen probably just adjacent to the 3.5 mm audio jack slot. The slot position is similar to what we see the S Pen slot in Galaxy Note devices. We still have no clue on how deep the integration of S Pen is planned by Samsung and whether it comes with same features & applications as that in Note devices.
We can also see the 3.5 mm audio jack slot which indicates that Samsung is still not in a mood to get rid of the conventional audio jack in favor of USB C type port in the same way as Apple did with iPhone 7 or LeEco did with its smartphones. The Camera slot indicates a single camera and indicates that there is no dual camera module planned for the flagship device as some rumors earlier have indicated.
Galaxy S8 is rumored to sport a 5.7-inch / 6.2-inch 2K Super AMOLED display, powered by Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with 6 GB of RAM. The display is rumored to be curved bezelless with no Home button and fingerprint sensor embedded below the display itself.
Latest rumors indicate that Galaxy S8 will be announced at the Mobile World Congress to select few and will be available after April 24. The rumored price starts at $849 (~Rs. 58,000).
