As you know, Samsung is set to officially launch Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ on March 29 which is just few weeks away. Ahead of the official launch, Androidpure has learned that Samsung Galaxy S8 SM-G9500 has just passes the 3C certification in China ahead of the official launch. The 3C certification at the moment only appears for the Galaxy S8 SM-G9500 model and there is no mention of Galaxy S8+ model. The listing confirms the model number SM-G9500 for Galaxy S8.
The 3C certification comes with an issue date of 10th March 2017 and valid for next five years i.e. till 10th March 2022. The listing doesn’t reveal much information except the Model number and the battery charger specifications. It reveals that Galaxy S8 SM-G9500 comes with an output of 9.0V DC 1.67A or 5.0V DC 2.0A, which is in fact the same charger specification as that of Samsung Adaptive Fast Charger for Galaxy S7/S7 Edge/S6/Edge/Edge+.
With 3C certification done, we may soon see a TENAA listing too ahead of the official launch in China (Company is yet to announce a launch date in China), which may take place after March 29.
Based on rumors / leaks till date, Galaxy S8 and S8+ is expected to come with 5.8 inch / 6.2 inch display, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 / Exynos processor along with 4 GB / 6 GB of RAM with at least 64 GB of internal storage expandable via microSD (up to 128GB).Both flagship devices are said to have same camera setup, with 12 MP dual rear cameras at back and an 8 MP front-facing camera. The smaller 5.8-inch variant is backed by 3000 mAh battery, while the bigger 6.2-inch variant is backed by a 3500 mAh battery.
