As we inch closer to the new year, rumour mills on Samsung Galaxy S9 / S9+ have gained steam. A new leak coming from the official Antutu China Weibo account suggests that the new flagship devices from Samsung may be launched next year on February 27. If you remember, Samsung unveiled Galaxy S7 at the end of February 2016 while Galaxy S8 at the end of March 2017. If the latest rumour is true, it means that we can see the new flagship sooner than last year i.e. at the end of February.
The image above suggests the launch date of Galaxy S9 as February 27, 2017, along with details of previous launches. We have already seen numerous leaks/rumours about the device including a recent one which shows the Galaxy S9 case by Olixar that reveals the design of the device. We already know that it may look quite similar to existing Galaxy S9 / S9+, but with a better screen to body ratio.
Based on the rumors, Galaxy S9 / S9+ is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 845 chipset (US variant) / Exynos Chipset (International variant) with a display similar to Galaxy S8 / S8+ with rumors suggestings a 5.8-inch display for standard variant & 6.2-inch screen for the plus variant, a centred fingerprint scanner on the back and a dual camera on the back of the plus version while the standard variant may feature just a single camera.
As with any other leak, take this with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated about Galaxy S9 / S9+.
